A few months ago on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, Queensbridge rapper Cormega was one of two rappers that were to be welcomed into Canada to kick off the Canadian tour. Long time legend, Large Professor, was scheduled to join forces with Cormega; however, due to his criminal record they denied his entry into Canada, which prohibiting him from taking part in the Canadian tour.
Far West Productions & Kapacity Entertainment opened the doors to all the Cormega fans at Ritual Nightclub around 9:30 pm, as the opening acts hit the stage around 10:30 pm. Special guest performers Pusha Woods & Leaving For LA performed some of their hottest tracks for the audience in both national languages, while Ottawa’s own Tragic, from Philly Moves, and rappers Young N Restless both performed tracks off their new projects with DJ Soo Nice spinning throughout the night. Fans anxiously waited for Cormega to hit the stage, and just after midnight the Queensbridge rapper came out playing old classics like “American Beauty” and giving the fans a sneak peak off his new album “Mega Philosophy” produced by the Large Professor.
After the show, the Capcityhiphop media team were able to get a chance to sit down with the Queensbridge rapper and speak to him about how Queensbridge is today, his new album “Mega Philosophy” Produced by Large Professor, his thought on the Canadian border denying artists from entering Canada and more.
