This year has shown that The Weeknd is not just the king off the fall, but the whole year. Earlier this year he released his second studio album Beauty Behind The Madness which included the very popular singles “Often,” “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” “In The Night” and “Acquainted”. Along with the album, Rolling Stone named BBTM a top favorite album of the year, it also won the AMA for Favorite Soul/R&B album. The Weeknd also recently finished his Beauty Behind The Madness Tour earlier this month featuring Travis Scott.
Continuing in the success of his album and tour, The Weeknd recently released the visual for the single “In The Night”. The video is 6 minutes of gritty cinematic work which follows The Weeknd as he sings through the rainy streets of Brooklyn where he hits the club and watches his real life girlfriend, Bella Hadid, dance. The story of the BRTHR directed video, takes a sudden dangerous turn when Bella is taken hostage. This results in a revengeful blood bath and finds The Weeknd standing in front one of the gunman about to be shoot when Bella shoots the assassin just in time.
